The Mozes Rosenberg Method (MRM) is an online platform dedicated to helping students learn the authentic, real Gypsy Jazz (Jazz Manouche) style of guitar playing. It uses interactive video and sheet music to help students learn at their own pace in their own preferred way.

Mozes Rosenberg is a Dutch Sinti jazz guitarist. He is mostly known for being one of worlds best guitarists in the Gypsy Jazz, or Jazz Manouche style of music. He started to play at a very young age and has been traveling the world his whole adult life, sharing his music all over the world.

Apart from being a world-class performer, Mozes also has been giving workshops and jam-lessons all over the globe.

MRM is for all Gypsy Jazz enthousiasts, and especially for those who want to learn how to play guitar in this style of music.

We really aim at serving all levels of playing! Players who have just started their journey in Gypsy Jazz should get good examples of how to play the chords, an idea of how the melodies and some ideas for how to improvise. Advanced players should be challenged with some some jazzy concepts and intricate lines and ideas to include in their solos.

Other instruments than guitar should be able to learn as well, as all examples have sheet music notated in standard music notation. And using the Soundslice technology you can even transpose the music to other keys if needed.

And if enjoy the music, but don't play yourself: you are more than welcome as well! We also include some complete performances and interviews with background information about the songs and music.

In other words: what makes us unique? Well first of all this is the only platform where Mozes has full creative control. Mozes decides which songs to teach, and personally reviews every video. It's recorded from the comfort of his own home, so we can take all the time we need. Being born a Sinti and growing up in a very musical family, this is the real deal for gypsy jazz.

In many videos he is joined on rhythm guitar by his cousin Daniël Rosenberg. They have been playing together their whole lifes, and that shows: these recordings are excellent examples of the authentic gypsy jazz groove.

We don't just run through a tune and move on to the next. We go in a lot deeper. We teach the chords, how Mozes interprets the melody, demonstrate some basic soloing, advanced soloing, an octave solo, a chord solo, some extra licks, an interview about the origin of a tune, and anything else we can come up with.
We are convinced that all these different angles give you a much deeper understanding of the songs, and will inspire you in much more different ways than other platforms.

Traditionally, this music has been passed on by listening to other players and watching them perform. We want to keep that spirit alive, and add to that all the technology the modern age has to offer. We make the lessons interactive so you can take control. Slow down the video, loop difficult phrases, store your favorite licks, choose from different camera setups, and a lot more!

Learning a new piece of music can be challenging. To make this as easy as possible we take full use of Soundslice.

Yes, and no.

In early 2025, we started a pilot selling video lessons through the Soundslice Store. Our goal was to explore the world of online video lessons and see if there was enough interest from students in learning to play Gypsy Jazz directly from Mozes Rosenberg. We received a great response, so we decided to take the next step and build Mozes' own platform — the one you are visiting now!

So yes: we have transferred all the content from Mozes Rosenberg Method Volume I and Volume II to this new platform.

But this new platform also allows us to provide much more context around the lessons than we could within the limitations of the Soundslice Store. So, alongside the original videos with sheet music, we'll be adding more historical information, instructions, and practical tips to help you get the most out of your practice.

And that's not all: we've also recorded many new songs for you to learn, and we'll keep adding new songs and lesson updates in the future!

The videos on the Soundslice Store will remain available to our first supporters, the students who purchased the videos during the pilot period. However, they are no longer available for purchase to new students via Soundslice. As a new student, the new platform you're visiting now is the only way to access the original song lessons that we're part of Mozes Rosenberg Method Volume I and Volume II.
